(almost) Anything is good enough

To do astrophotography you need a camera that:

• is able to focus to infinity: the stars are far, so you need that. You can install apps on your phone that'll let you focus manually on it
• has a manual mode: You wanna set the exposure manually, the ISO (or gain), shutter speed and aperture (in most phones it's fixed)
• can attatch to a tripod: You really can't stand perfectly still for 10 seconds, so use a tripod, phone adapters are like 5€ on amazon anyway...

Most phones, maybe with a special app, can do the three criteria, all DSLRs can do that (if you have one, even if it's old, use it), although in most pns cameras you may not have a manual mode.

Camera basics

Before you go out you need to know your camera well, and it all starts with the exposure triangle.
